Glue Resist Portrait on Canvas

So I saw this glue resist technique on youtube and I thought it would be cool to try it out on a canvas.

I wanted to do a portrait of a girl so I made a stencil out of acetate and using a craft knife as well. I enjoyed trying out the technique but when I had to wipe the paint off the glue it wiped some off the paint off so it made the watercolour look all splotchy. But I really liked the colour combinations so I will have to revamp the canvas later on using acrylic paint and maybe a palette knife.
