Checiegirl Creations Outschool Classes

I teach a variety of creative classes on Outschool to a range of ages (9+), from mixed media to crochet and henna I will cover an array of techniques and skills.

​

I also run art workshops at Much a Do Events, the classes touch on the step by step processes needed to create your own mixed media art pieces and or other related projects. To find out more click here.

In the future, I plan to offer online classes to adults which you will be able to do within the comfort of your own home.

Materials needed:

  • A4 Canvas/ canvas board/ mixed media paper.

  • A flat paint palette/ peel-off palette.

  • Acrylic paint (red, blue, yellow & white needed).

  • Palette knives (one big & small).

  • Paintbrushes (one large & small).

  • Book paper & deco (patterned) paper.

  • PVA glue.

  • Craft heat gun/ hairdryer (to speed up drying time).

  • A cup of water (for cleaning brushes).

  • Paper towels/ cloth for clean up.

Paint a Cherry Blossom Scene! Simple Mixed Media Art Techniques ~ 9-12

​

In this class, we will create a whimsical cherry blossom scene.

​

We will cover beginner-friendly mixed media, palette knife painting and brush painting skills to complete a beautiful cherry blossom themed piece of artwork. I will demonstrate the techniques mentioned throughout the class so the students can follow along.

​

The class will start with introductions and a supply check. We will experiment with different textures and practise skills such as layering and composition to create a cohesive finished painting.

 

The scheduled time is 55 minutes. The class may run over by 5-10 minutes depending on the number of students.
